Having the ability to effectively engage with individuals from various backgrounds, experiences, opinions, and perceptions is an essential component of fostering inclusivity. In this interactive session, attendees will have the opportunity to gain a heightened understanding of the various dimensions of diversity, as well as their practical application within educational institutions and beyond. ​ ​

Matthew Ramirez is an experienced educator and trainer with over 20 years of experience in the field. With 15 years dedicated to elementary education within charter and public school settings, he has instructed students ranging from Pre-K through Fourth grade. Building on his passions for teaching and impacting the community, Matthew currently serves as the Director of Talent and Culture Development for the YMCA of Greater San Antonio. In this capacity, he spearheads training and development programs for YMCA staff, covering a diverse range of essential topics. Matthew's academic credentials include a bachelor's degree from the University of the Incarnate Word and a master's degree in education from Texas A&M University - San Antonio.​
